Record and Watch Internet TV with Miro

The next time when your TV stops working and and you can’t find a repair man to fix it, don’t waste your time fixing it yourself (when you know you can’t do it!). You can watch free Internet TV
with just a computer and an Internet connection!

Miro is a free, open source Internet TV and video player that let’s you watch, download and live record whatever channel you want.

It also has a cool video player that supports all the popular video formats and let’s you organize your music into playlists and browse your music collection. Another thing I liked about this player was that it also gives access to a wide range of HD content than any other video player.

You can keep track of your favourite TV shows by subscribing to over 2,500 free channels with video RSS feeds, podcasts and their Micro Guide. New channels are being added daily, so I don’t think you will get bored soon.

Two features worth mentioning is the in-built YouTube and BitTorrent downloader and viewer. Yes, you can download, save and watch videos from popular video sharing portals like YouTube, Google Video, DailyMotion etc. Or if you use BitTorrent
to download video files, you can download and play them directly from Miro.
Give Miro a try and let me know how you like it.
